How the assessment works

We start with a site visit and examine the tree itself: the trunk, the canopy, the roots, the lean, and any defect or decay we can see or reach. We also study what surrounds it, because the risk a tree poses depends as much on what it could hit as on its own condition.

Then we walk you through the findings in plain language, not jargon. You will know whether the tree can likely be managed with pruning or monitoring, or whether removal is the safer call, and why.

When to call for a tree risk assessment

Call when a tree changes suddenly, especially after wind, heavy snow, construction, flooding, or a storm. Call too when a tree stands over a house, driveway, play area, road, power line, or anything else you would not want it to land on, and you are not sure how much risk it carries.
